Ships of Glory is a free-to-play, massively multiplayer online naval combat simulator that invites players to navigate a vibrant maritime world.

Players can take command of a diverse fleet, encompassing a range of vessels such as Torpedo Boats, Patrol Boats, Destroyers, Cruisers, Battleships, Dreadnoughts, Submarines, Cargo Ships, Hospital Ships, and Aircraft Carriers. Each type of ship presents unique attributes that require strategic adaptations in combat to achieve success. The inclusion of Cargo and Hospital ships offers additional gameplay variety by introducing mission-based elements within the broader conflict arena.

The gameplay experience is akin to an unending death match set against a backdrop of expansive open waters interspersed with islands, ports, and narrow passages. While tiered matchmaking exists—allowing tier 1 ships to coexist with tier 5 ships—there is minimal pressure for engagement; the faster tier 1 vessels provide opportunities for players to evade potential confrontations. To facilitate learning, a dedicated training arena is available for newcomers, restricted to lower-tier ships.

A robust friends system enhances cooperative play, enabling players to team up effectively. Players' allies are denoted by green blips on the radar, with friendly fire disabled. This system also allows for the exchange of in-game currency as a reward for assistance during battles.
